Nilar Tun was born in Pathein, Ayeyarwady Region in 1985. She has no formal training,
but instead learned to paint through guidance and assistance from other artists. She
moved to Yangon in 2006, and started to devote herself to painting in 2007. Her main
subjects are trees and forests. She now lives in Yuzana Garden City close to Yangon,
and has participated in many group shows in Myanmar.
