Aung Myint was born in Yangon in 1946. Self-taught as a painter, he was a founding
member of Inya Gallery of Art. His work forms part of the permanent collection of the
Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Singapore Art Museum. He was also one of 22 artists
represented in the Guggenheim Museum’s 2013 exhibit “No Country: Contemporary
Art for South and Southeast Asia”.
