San Minn was born in Yangon in 1951, and studied Biology as an undergraduate. A
leading painter since the 1970s, he was a founding member of Gangaw Village and
Inya Gallery of Art. He has exhibited in Myanmar and around the world. His work
forms part of the permanent collection of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.
